Hopewell Township Ribbon Cutting
Two bridges, owned by Bedford County, are officially anew after extensive refurbishments over the past few months.
Both spans, each in Hopewell Township, were celebrated during a Tuesday afternoon, October 22nd, ceremony at the Bridge No. 5 location on Polecat Hollow Road near its intersection with Route 26.

Bedford Co. Township Officials Association Convention
Our firm was honored to be an exhibitor at this year’s Bedford County Township Officials Association Convention. The event was held Monday at the Alum Bank Community Fire Hall. Jim Frank, Client Services Director, enjoyed interacting with the many township officials and others who participated.
Pitt-Johnstown Engineering & Computer Science Employer Day
Scott Klingenberg, Environmental Services Director, and Jim Frank, Client Services Director, hosted a table at the 2024 Pitt-Johnstown Engineering & Computer Science Employer Day. The event was held at the Pitt-Johnstown Campus Living and Learning Center, Heritage Hall. The event has over 400+ Engineering (CE/EE/ME/ChE/CompE) and Computer Science (CS) students, all eager to meet representatives in-person.

Star Wars @ Bedford Co. Chamber Awards Dinner
Joe Lehman, President, Betsy Lehman, Special Projects Director, Jim Frank, Client Services Director, and his wife Laura, all attended the signature celebration of the Bedford County Chamber, at their Annual Awards Dinner & Celebration, held on Thurs. Sept. 19th. Deb Baughman, Bedford County Commissioner also attended the festive event. The evening featured an extravagant Star Wars theme with sixteen awards being presented to outstanding Bedford businesses and individuals. Our firm was proud to be a part of the ceremonies!
Altoona Mirror Featured 18th Annual Trail Ride!
We were honored to read the great article featuring the 18th Annual Lehman’s Trail Ride and Trail Walk. The article provided excellent coverage in the Wednesday, September 18th Altoona Mirror article. The Trail Ride is fast approaching and will be held on Sunday, Sept. 29th @9:00AM at Canoe Creek State Park.
Maple Avenue Bridge in Northern Cambria Borough
The Maple Avenue Bridge in Northern Cambria Borough is officially open! Lehman Engineers recently was on site for the final inspection as the bridge was opened. Our firm led the design process on the $1.93million project, which replaced an old steel bridge with a new concrete structure over the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. Contractor Charles J. Merlo, Inc. began construction began in the spring, and it involved a one-mile detour around the project site.
WTAJ Coverage on 814 Show!
Betsy Lehman, Special Projects Director, and Karen Kurtz, Lead Therapeutic Instructor for Dreams Go On, were featured on 814. This is a show dedicated to local news and events and both were interviewed by Morgan Kozier, show host. They were featured in regards to the 18th Annual Lehman’s Trail Ride and Trail Walk which benefits Dreams Go On, therapeutic riding for those in need. This years event will be held on Sunday, September 29th @ Canoe Creek State Park.
Altoona Curve Night for Staff
On Friday, August 2nd, staff and their families came together for a fun night at the Altoona Curve. Our firm hosted a festive evening of baseball, food, and fireworks! We enjoyed delicious hamburgers, chicken patties, ribs, beans, numerous sides, and beverages while enjoying the game. The fun night ended with a huge firework display and a great time had by all!
