Under the Umbrella of Let’s Can Hunger, P. Joseph Lehman, Inc. Consulting Engineers has donated $1,665 to support the cause this year. Jim Frank, Client Services Director, presented the donation. The firm held fundraising activities and followed Lauren Lehman’s lead again this year during her 11th annual Birthday Food Drive and as a team, helped her to collect $1,115 and a truckload of food for the Dorothy Day Outreach Center and an additional $550 for the American Rescue Workers.

Once again, Lauren led the initiative and asked neighbors, family, friends, school, friends at Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School, and friends at Lehman Engineers to donate food or funds. Lauren distributed flyers and food boxes to collect food donations. Lauren delivered an SUV packed with food for the Dorothy Day Outreach Center’s food pantry. The total dollars raised included cash from Lauren’s handmade, glass bead bracelet sales – available at Dr. Joan Bartolotta Optometrist locations in Roaring Spring and Ebensburg, Pa.  Employee fundraising events were also held at Lehman’s office during National Engineers Week.

The Dorothy Day Outreach Center, a volunteer-based agency near the Saint Francis University Campus in Loretto, is an expression of Franciscan values in action. Their service initiatives are geared toward children, the elderly, veterans, the poor, and people with special needs. Lauren selected this group to support their efforts to feed hundreds of families each year.

Lauren would like to thank everyone that supported her and appreciates the collaboration with Lehman Engineers during the “Engineers Fight to CAN Hunger” campaign and the great generosity of the employees at Lehman Engineers.
