Lehman Engineers Horse Trail Ride & Walk Campaign for DREAMS GO ON raises $32,464.62

On Sunday, October 3, 2021, the 15th Annual Lehman Engineers Horse Trail Ride and Trail Walk was held to benefit Dreams Go On, which provides therapeutic horseback riding sessions to children and young adults in Blair County, PA.  This event took place at Canoe Creek State Park and is a unique event which brings horse and trail walking enthusiasts together for a great cause.

Horseback riders were guided by Karen Kurtz, lead therapeutic horseback riding instructor at Dreams Go On, and trail walkers were invited to walk the trails as a group. Riders and walkers also had the pleasure of meeting Emma Brooks, the 2021 Dreams Go On Goodwill Ambassador. Emma is an amazing 16-year-old lady with Autism. Her therapeutic riding experiences have been a huge factor in her gaining so much strength through her journey. Emma lives in Roaring Spring with her parents, Fred and Lori Brooks.

The public was invited to register to participate in the event. All horse trail riders and trail walkers are encouraged to register and collect pledges to donate to Dreams Go On.  Corporate, organizations, and family teams were encouraged to participate as well with top fundraising teams receiving a pizza party at Best Way Pizza in Duncansville, gift cards from Hoss’s Steak and Sea House / Marzoni’s, and DelGrosso’s Park and Laguna Splash All-Day passes.  An award was given to the Holliday Real Estate Team for their contribution of $2,125.00 and the second place team award was given to Saint Francis Phi Lambda Psi ladies for their $2,020.00 contribution.  The top individual fundraising award went to Amy Robinson, with a $500 donation.  Second and third place were awarded to Aaron Rose and Connie Kensinger with $300 and $200 contributions!
